Lagoons from above
The karst of Piaynemo and Wayag is best understood from the ridge. A short scramble, then the whole archipelago in turquoise and green below you, and the boat a white fleck at anchor.

Raja Ampat — 8 days
Four kings, fifteen hundred islands, more species of fish and coral than anywhere on the planet. We take the long route — Piaynemo and Wayag in the north, the jellyfish lake and hidden lagoons of Misool in the south — and we leave one night open for a beach of your own.

Moments

The karst of Piaynemo and Wayag is best understood from the ridge. A short scramble, then the whole archipelago in turquoise and green below you, and the boat a white fleck at anchor.

A marine lake in Misool where the jellyfish lost their sting thousands of years ago. You float among millions of them in warm green light. It is the quietest hour of the trip.

Cape Kri holds the world record for fish species on a single dive. Manta Sandy is where the big animals come to be cleaned. You will lose count of both.

On one evening we set up on an empty beach — lanterns, a long table, the chef on the sand, and a sky the city has never shown you.
